In September 2024, Hobas Pipe USA hosted over 25 top engineers and industry leaders from across the U.S. at our Houston facility for an exclusive Water Strategies Tour. This immersive two-day event went beyond showcasing our capabilities—it provided a hands-on experience that truly embodied the innovative spirit of our new Defy campaign.
We invited our guests to see how Hobas Pipe isn’t just another name in the industry but a force challenging the status quo of “good enough.”
From the moment attendees entered our facility, they experienced the exciting craftsmanship of our FRPM pipes firsthand. They discovered why our pipes are renowned for their unmatched durability and efficiency. Attendees explored the entire production process, engaged directly with our engineers, and observed our rigorous testing procedures that guarantee our products withstand the test of time and resist corrosion
But more than that, they felt our drive to go beyond what’s expected—to defy leaks, corrosion, and the limitations of conventional solutions.
The heart of this tour was about showing, not telling. It was about demonstrating that at Hobas Pipe, we refuse to settle. We’re here to disrupt the old ways, to challenge what’s possible, and to pave the path for a future where infrastructure isn’t just reliable—it’s sustainable and built to last. The event left attendees with a deeper understanding of how our solutions can transform their projects and a clear message: Hobas doesn’t just meet expectations; we defy the expectations of “good enough” and exceed them.
The positive feedback confirmed that Hobas Pipe is leading in product excellence and influencing how industry professionals’ approach sustainable, efficient infrastructure planning.

Hobas Pipe Tour Recap
The event kicked off with a comprehensive technical presentation that laid the foundation for the in-depth learning experience. Participants gained valuable insights into the engineering and application of FRPM pipes, including their proven advantages in various installation methods such as direct bury, slip lining, and jacking. The presentation highlighted the reliability, durability, and cost-effectiveness that have positioned Hobas FRPM pipes as the preferred choice for gravity and pressure infrastructure projects.
A highlight of the tour was an exclusive walkthrough of the Hobas manufacturing facility.
Attendees saw firsthand the meticulous production process of FRPM pipes, couplings, and fittings. This up-close experience provided an unparalleled perspective on the precision and innovation involved in creating pipes that meet stringent ASTM standards.
Testing
Part of Hobas Pipe’s technical tours involves live testing of our pipe. The burst test conducted under ASTMD 1599 standards for a 100-psi pressure class pipe yielded outstanding results, highlighting the pipe’s exceptional durability and reliability.
The minimum required burst strength for this standard was set at 400 psi, ensuring safety and adherence to regulatory benchmarks.
The test’s outcome revealed an actual burst strength of 945 psi, more than doubling the minimum requirement and surpassing expectations by a significant margin.
This result highlights the superior performance capabilities of FRPM pipe, indicating enhanced safety, longevity, and resilience under high-pressure conditions. Such performance not only meets but far exceeds industry standards, making this product a reliable choice for both pressure and gravity applications.
During the tour, the QA and QC team elaborated on our long-term testing program and stiffness testing protocols, emphasizing Hobas Pipe’s commitment to quality and compliance.
Concluding the Tour
The event concluded with a Q&A session and a catered lunch, offering further networking opportunities before attendees left for their return flights. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees expressing their appreciation for the detailed tour and the in-depth technical insights that reinforced their confidence in FRPM pipe solutions. Thank you to all the attendees of this tour, we enjoyed hosting you and look forward to future tours.
